Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Shaw.
At around 9pm on Saturday night (14 January), police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Beal Lane.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and an 80-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and no arrests were made, a GMP spokesperson has said.
Enquiries suggest that a white Hyundai was travelling westbound along Beal Lane, approaching the junction with Duke Street, when the pedestrian 'fell into the passing car'.
GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any further information.
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage or who was in the area or witnessed the incident should contact GMP on 0161 856 4741, quoting log 2867 of 14/01/2023.
