A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the deaths of four Vietnamese men at a mill in Oldham.
Greater Manchester Police has said a 36-year-old man was arrested at a police station on Wednesday morning (17 May) on suspicion of manslaughter, cultivation of cannabis and participating in the activities of an organised crime group.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
Three men had previously been arrested in connection with the deaths and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
The remains of Uoc Van Nguyen, Cuong Van Chu, Duong Van Nguyen and Nam Thanh Lee were recovered during a six-month search of Bismark House Mill, which had been subject to a fire on 7 May 2022.
The search was carried out after demolition workers discovered human remains at the building on Bower Street on 23 July 2022.
Greater Manchester Police and His Majesty’s Coroner are continuing to work with partner agencies to complete the formal identification process and organise repatriation.
