Oldham Green Hill Sports & Recreation Club invited local members and guests to a packed Eid event to celebrate community cohesion.
The event at the Havelock Street Centre was attended by the Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Dr Zahid Chauhan, and groups from the charity sector.
The party opened with a welcome presentation by the Director of the Club, Nurul Hoque, who talked about the significance of Eid, before the cake cutting ceremony.
He also played a video of its many staff and volunteers who wished everyone a happy Eid.

The event was held to celebrate the Muslim festival and to strengthen relationships with the wider communities.
Mr Hoque explained: “We have achieved quite a lot over the past 12 months and without the support from the staff and volunteers this would not have been possible.
“We have programmes from Monday to Friday and in holidays. We host everything from multi-sports recreation and arts and crafts.”
Mr Hoque said many of the activities were held for young people in a bid to keep them off the streets and out of trouble.
He said: “We have held knife crime awareness workshops and youth clubs which are all free of charge.
“We have women’s yoga sessions, crochet classes and sewing classes – all to help bring communities together.”
Councillor Chauhan said he was a huge fan of the organisation, adding: “Looking around this room today, I can see diverse range of people.
“It’s amazing how the group has pulled this occasion together by getting the wider communities together and I have come here to say a big thank you to all the team including Abid Hussain for organising this and the work they do here.”
