A motorist has been charged with assault and dangerous driving after a man was left with life-threatening injuries.
Thirty-year-old Mohammed Hamid Hussain, of Hereford Street, Oldham, also faces charges of driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified.
The charges relate to an incident on Oldham Road in Failsworth on Sunday evening.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court tomorrow (Wednesday)
The injured man, aged 42, remains in hospital in a serious, life-threatening condition.
Officers are still asking for anyone who may have seen anything from around the time of the incident to please come forward.
Detective Sergeant Kate Dawson, from GMP’s Oldham district, said: “Officers are still working hard on the investigation from the weekend and while we have secured a charge, we are asking for anyone with any information to get in touch.
“If you have any information related to this incident, please do let us know. This includes any relevant CCTV, doorbell, dashcam, or mobile phone footage. You can report information to 101 or gmp.police.uk, quoting log number 3222 of 17/03/24.
