Party in the Park returns to Delph in September – and KMK, probably the most popular act to play at the family festival, have been booked to top the bill.
The date has been confirmed for Saturday 17 September and already people are booking spaces for tents and enquiring about tickets.
The Covid pandemic have kept this popular music festival off the Saddleworth social calendar for three years but everyone connected with the event, from the WakeUp Delph committee to the volunteers and event management partners New Image (PR) Ltd, are determined that this year’s party will go ahead.
Martyn Torr, from NIPR, who have been the event’s staging and infrastructure partners from the outset 15 years ago, said: “Everyone is delighted that this popular event is returning.
“There is huge appetite from everyone involved to bring back Saddleworth’s most popular and successful outdoor party. The sponsors are mostly in place, the acts are being confirmed almost daily and we are delighted that KMK will top the bill.
“They are without doubt the most popular band we have ever put on and will be a great finale. We have also booked two local acts to bring a real Saddleworth flavour to the event, so let’s get it on.”
