Following a difficult couple of years for everyone, Tameside, Oldham, and Glossop Mind is all set to officially launch its new support space in the heart of Oldham on Friday (17 June).
Local people are invited to attend between 4pm and 6pm to tour the space, speak with key health and wellbeing partners working across the borough, find out more about TOG Mind’s local support services for all ages and enjoy some food and refreshments.
There will also be an opportunity to look at the new sensory space and art therapy room. Local children’s author Andrea Bowker (Rab the Crab) will be attending to provide a reading and signed copies of her books.
Jenny Higson, CEO at TOG Mind, said: "We understand how difficult it’s been for so many over the last two years and we’ve worked throughout to support as many people as possible.
"We’re so pleased to officially have our grand opening in Oldham, and we encourage people locally to come along on the day, find out about the range of support available and help us spread the word to others."
There will also be an opportunity for health professionals to visit the new space on the day, from 1pm and find out how they can link in, make referrals, and support the charity.
