Goalkeeper Greg Hartley has left Ashton United after more than three years at the club.
The Robins announced before Saturday's trip to Marine that the 32-year-old had mutually agreed to terminate his contract at Hurst Cross.
He kept 24 clean sheets in 74 appearances for the Northern Premier League Premier Division club, after joining in December 2019.
A firm fans' favourite, Hartley played an instrumental role in helping the Robins secure a record-extending 16th Frank Hannah Manchester Premier Cup with some impressive displays throughout the tournament - including in the final against Hyde United.
The shot-stopper featured 25 times for Ashton this term before suffering a serious knee injury in a 3-3 draw at South Shields in early December, which ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Despite being sidelined, Hartley has been present at every fixture and training session to offer support to the team during a transitional period in which Steve Cunningham has taken over as manager.
The club said in a statement: "Everyone at Ashton United would like to express their utmost appreciation and thanks to Greg for his unbelievable commitment to the club. We wish him the absolute best in his recovery and future endeavours."
Speaking about his departure, Hartley said on Twitter: "Well my time at Ashton United has come to an end. Just want to thank all the fans and everyone involved with the club. Unbelievable club ran by special people. Thank you for everything."
