Avro Face Tough Trip To Ashton

Avro FC are back in action again this weekend as they travel to Ashton athletic on Saturday in the North West Counties Premier Division.

Avro have hit some good form after a poor start to the season. Ashton Athletic sit just above Avro after a good start to the season. A victory will be important for both teams if they are to challenge for promotion.

Avro started the season poorly after losing their opening three league games and also crashing out of the FA Cup. One of their defeats was a crushing 5-0 loss to Rylands FC which really told of the gulf in class between the two teams. But Avro have changed the staff and squad since then and have won three out of their last four games. Two big wins against Burscough and Congleton Town respectively have got Avro thinking about promotion again. A win tomorrow would be a huge boost to the squad and club as a whole.

Ashton Athletic are also in good form as they are also competing in the FA Vase and they made it into the first round after beating Liversedge 5-1. Ashton’s last league game was also a thumping as they beat Litherland Remyca 7-1.

With both teams in good form it should be a great spectacle at Ashton Athletic and Avro will be hoping to make a statement with a big win.
