Glossop North End knock National League Chesterfield out of the Derbyshire Senior Cup

Derbyshire Senior Cup: Glossop North End 2-0 Chesterfield.

Glossop North End recorded a superb 2-0 win over National League side Chesterfield to progress through to the fourth round of the Derbyshire Senior Cup.

Mohammed Sheriff put The Hillmen ahead after 21 minutes. The in-form Porya Ahmadi sealed the win with ten minutes to go.

Chesterfield fielded a mix of first-team and youth team players although there was plenty of Football-League experience on show.

Josef Yarney, David Buchanan and Liam Mandeville combined have played over 480 games in the Football League.

Glossop resume their league season on Saturday as they travel to Sheffield FC aiming to make it three games unbeaten.
