REVIEW: Glossop Table Tennis Championships

The Glossop Table Tennis League Town Championships is held every year at Glossopdale School. 

The sports hall was set up with ten tables, and 35 players competed in an all-day competition for a range of trophies on February 13th. 

In the open category, Mike Bradbury beat Steve Hilton while in the under 18’s Max White beat Frankie Turner. 

In the Veterans competition Mike Bradbury beat Simon Hardwick and in the doubles Hilton/Hardwick beat Bradbury/ Middleton. 

In the first division handicap, Steve Hilton beat Mike Bradbury.

In the second division handicap, John Brahms beat Dave Richardson and in the third division handicap, Michael Simm beat Carl Leonard. 

Finally, in the Consolation Cup, Frankie Turner beat John Brahms. 

The event used the equipment of the Glossop Table Tennis Club, which runs coaching sessions every Saturday at the school, as well as running six teams in the Glossop League.
