Cricket matches involving Uppermill and Saddleworth this weekend have been postponed as a precautionary measure after a positive Covid-19 case.
Uppermill Cricket Club took the decision to postpone their first team clash with Micklehurst on Saturday and second team game against Flowery Field's third team on Sunday.
It came after a club member tested positive for coronavirus, with the person understood to be "close to the team".
Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL) say its board "fully supports" the Oldham-based club's swift action to call off the forthcoming games.
They tweeted on Thursday morning:
Following a positive test of a club member @uppermillcc who is close to the team, the club have postponed this weekends matches with our support and thanks for their prompt actions. All players and umpires have been notified.

Since then, both Saddleworth Cricket Club games this weekend have also been postponed as a precaution - after they played against Uppermill last weekend.
Saddleworth's first team was due to face Austerlands on Saturday and their second team was set to play Werneth's third team on Sunday.
The GMCL tweeted:
COVID-19: Following the earlier news that @uppermillcc games are postponed this weekend we can now also advise that because Uppermill played against Saddleworth CC on Sat & Sun last week, both @SaddleworthCC games this weekend have also been postponed. Games can be rearranged.
