WATCH: Ashton Pumas Enjoy Trophy Haul

It’s been a crazy year for the players, officials and parents associated with Ashton Pumas GFC.

As well as featuring on the BBC as part of a Women’s Euros 2022 feature, the Pumas also scooped two awards at the Active Tameside Sports Awards. Long-serving coach Laura Day was named as the Alex Williams Volunteer of the Year, whilst the club itself was named as the Club of the Year.

We spoke to Laura about the ongoing success, the rise in participation rates following the Euros, and how the awards reflect the hard work carried out by everyone at the club.
