A thank you to everyone who supported Tameside Toy Appeal 2021

Action Together Tameside have made a video to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Christmas Tameside Toy Appeal.

The appeal, supported by Tameside Radio and the Tameside Reporter, has again been a huge success this last Christmas, ensuring every child living in poverty in the borough received a gift at Christmas.

Volunteering support officer (Tameside) Lisa Hannibal said: “We would like to thank all the businesses, schools and individuals - and especially individual children - who have all helped the appeal this year.

“It has been a really tough year for people with a lot of people who are struggling but who have gone above and beyond.

“We would like to thank all of our volunteers too - we couldn’t be happier. We would like to thank everyone and Tameside Radio and the Reporter for publicising what we have been doing.

“There will be lots of happy children this Christmas.”
