Ashton students have kicked off their fundraising efforts ahead of the Christmas season.
To support those who need it most during the festive season, Ashton Sixth Form College have decided to take part in the Action Together Tameside Toy Appeal.
This appeal provides toys to those less fortunate and ensures that everyone wakes up with a smile on Christmas morning.
Education and Health students at the college took it one step further as they dressed to impress for their annual fundraiser.
Those from the department changed their usual classroom scenery for an underwater paradise as they kitted out in their best ‘under the sea’ attire.
This saw the students taking part in their usual lessons, albeit looking like lobsters and mermaids.
As well as being a fantastic way to raise money, this event was a great way to allow the students to embrace their creative sides, something which will come in handy as they progress within their education careers.
This event was a huge success and managed to raise over £1,000. This money will go towards buying toys and Christmas gifts for the appeal.
Ashton Sixth Form are committed to help as much as they can and are encouraging students and staff to donate gifts if possible.
Tameside Reporter and Tameside Radio are proud to support the Action Together Tameside Toy Appeal and will be sharing updates online as well as on air and in print.
