Celebrations planned in Tameside for Coronation of King Charles

CROWNING GLORY: Royal Star Cutouts will be featuring at Denton's 'royal' weekend.

The Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort at Westminster Abbey is just around the corner.

The event will see a Bank Holiday weekend of celebrations that will conclude on Monday 8 May.

In Tameside, many have been planning special events with a two-day celebration planned in Denton on 6 and 7 May.

Inflatable World and Children’s rides from Walter Wright will be hosted in Victoria Park on both days between 1pm and 4pm.

On Coronation Day, there's chance to meet Anna and Elsa from Frozen with your chance to be a King or Queen for the day!

On Sunday, popular magician Robert Bardsley will be leading the entertainment along with mascot friends Mario, Peter Rabbit and characters from Paw Patrol.

Victoria Park Community café will also be open to serve refreshments too.

On Monday 8 May, Droylsden Town Team will be working with Action Tameside to host a special community day that includes children’s rides and stalls.

Star Cutouts in Audenshaw are also busy producing items to celebrate the Coronation.

These include life sized cutouts of the King and Queen Consort and a range of Royal masks too perfect for parties. These can be ordered online via mycardboardcutout.co.uk
