This weekend will see Mark Neal taking part in a complete head & beard shave all in support of charity.
Mark has chosen The Christie Charity. Christies is close to his heart, as his mum sadly lost her life in March 2023 after a battle with cancer.
He said “I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, especially for what they did for my Mum. I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal”.
The Christie Charity supports cancer research, care and treatment above and beyond that which the NHS provides”
Mark also said “I’ve been growing my hair for over 2 years now, I would like to donate it to wig making for cancer patients and also raise money along the way and then if we can smash the £1000 mark, I will cut it all off for Christie’s."
Mark’s mum Josie Neal, was the poppy organiser for Denton and Standard Bearer for the Royal British Legion for over 35 years.
The head shaving event will take place this Saturday 5th April at The Jolly Hatters Inn, 119 Town Lane, Denton, M34 2DJ. The event will start at 3pm and the head shaving around 4.00pm.
