Pupils have paid their respects to those who have fallen in conflict by creating a colourful array of Remembrance Day pictures.
Elizabeth Way Community funeral directors in Mossley asked local school children to colour or paint pictures to reflect Remembrance Day to help decorate the windows at the offices.
Now staff at the funeral directors say they have been overwhelmed by the number of pictures they have received.
Funeral director and manager Anthony Barton and funeral arranger Tami Peel, from Elizabeth Way Community on Stamford Street, have now displayed the pictures throughout the funeral home.
Anthony said: “I was overwhelmed with the response from all the schools, we had an amazing 302 pictures returned to us that the children had coloured-in.
“There was so many pictures. Not only did it cover all the windows, it covered an entire wall inside and anywhere where we have a space.
“One of the reasons we wanted to do this in a bigger way this year is because there will be no gathering at the cenotaphs with the current situation, so at least people can pass our window and remember those who have died in any conflict.
“We would like to thank the schools that got involved, which were: Millbrook Primary School, Milton St John’s C of E Primary, Arlies Primary School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, and St George’s C Of E Primary School.
“Elizabeth Way are so proud of our community.”
