Children’s social workers invited to recruitment event

Experienced social workers are being invited to a recruitment event as part of Tameside Council’s drive to find enthusiastic and committed people to work for their Children’s Services team.

The event is taking place at Ashton Library on Monday, January 22 from 2pm-4pm, where managers will be on-hand to discuss immediately available roles.

Not only will attendees be able to find out more about working for the Council’s Cared for Children and Duty and Locality social worker teams, but there will also be the opportunity to be interviewed for the social worker vacancies while there.

Previous events like this have proven to be highly effective, with positions being offered to those that impressed following a successful interview.

Tameside Council deputy executive leader, Councillor Bill Fairfoull, said: “We are always looking for brilliant people to join our Children’s Services teams and hope the new year will be a key time for people to look for rewarding job opportunities. The team will be on-hand to answer any questions and are offering interviews on the day, but there is also the chance to arrange a chat online at an alternative date and time offering flexibility to those who cannot make it.”

If you would like to book an interview on the day, or to arrange an appointment online on a different date, please contact the team at virtualrecruitment@tameside.gov.uk
