Volunteers at Denton West End Community Centre on Hulme Road have been busy preparing to open their doors again.
The floors have been polished in preparation to welcome groups back once more in the weeks and months ahead - starting with Danceworks studios.
The centre is a charitable concern and has relied on generous support from the public to ensure it could open again after being starved of all its usual revenue streams during lockdown.
A huge thanks goes from members to everyone who has donated or supported in any way over the last difficult year to ensure the centre can open once more.
The venue is home to a myriad of clubs and groups, from dancing, fitness and slimming groups to indoor bowlers and more.
It also hosts flower show events like the annual Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society flower and produce shows, all of which could not be displayed at the venue in these last 12 months.
Society members instead posted pictures of their colourful efforts from their greenhouse site on their Facebook page, with members of the public unable to view and enjoy the flowers in person as usual.
The society reports however that some members of the local community and some churches did benefit as flower donations were made before they died back.
