Dogs Trust Manchester is hoping dog-loving locals come to its rescue for it Summer Fun Day next month.
The beloved charity is looking for a range of donations, from chocolates to experience days and long-forgotten unwanted Christmas presents.
The team are hoping their Fun Day, on Sunday, July 7, raises thousands of pounds for their homeless hounds but to make that happen they are in desperate need of donations of goodies and gifts.
Nicola Hardman, Supporter Relations Officer and organiser of the event, says: “This is our main fund-raising event of the year so we need to raise as much money as possible to look after the dogs in our care and our raffle, tombola and bric-a-brac stalls are really popular, but so far we’ve not got enough goodies!
“For the raffle and tombola it is a case of the more varied the better and we would love businesses to donate experiences such as theatre tickets and spa days.”
The Summer Fun Day is at Burrs Country Park in Bury. There will be fun and games for all the family and four-legged friends including fun dog show competitions, Have-a-go-agility, games and activities for children, homemade cakes and stalls full of delights for four-legged and two-legged friends.
If you are able to donate something please pop along to the rehoming centre on Parkway, Denton, M34 3SG.
The centre is open noon-7.30pm during the week, other than Wednesday when it is closed but donations can still be dropped off. It is open 10am-4pm at the weekend.
