Denton man in the dock after Manchester riots

A Denton man is among the latest group of people to be charged with involvement in riots at the weekend.

Anthony Livesey, 25, of Moorfield Avenue is in custody on suspicion of violent disorder and will appear today at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.

Joining him in the dock are 43-year-old David McCrea of Partington Road, Manchester, who has also been charged with violent disorder, while Colin Demulder, 36, of Altrincham Road, Manchester, is held on assault and public order charges.

Three boys, who we cannot name because of their ages, have been charged with violent disorder.

GMP are also appealing for information about more people suspected of involvement in the riots across the region.

The men below are wanted in connection with the violence in Piccadilly Gardens on Saturday afternoon.

The following six people are suspected of involvement in disturbances on Moseley Street, also on Saturday afternoon.

Police want to speak to this man in relation to violence on Oldham Road in Newton Heath on Wednesday, July 31.

GMP are also looking for leads on the people in the image below regarding ‘an outbreak of disorder’ in Bolton Town centre on Sunday.

You can submit information on GMP's website, by calling the non-emergency 101 number, or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police have also sent out a 'message of reassurance' to Greater Manchester residents.

"While the violent unrest of the weekend appears to have subsided for the time being, we are aware that some residents of Greater Manchester may still be feeling vulnerable, unsafe or worried about further disorder. This has been made worse by widespread sharing of misinformation online, which creates increased fear in communities and incites intolerable hate.

"Our advice to communities is to remain calm and try and go about your every-day life.  If we believe there needs to be specific information about anything emerging, we will tell people and offer advice.

"Our message is clear: there is no place for hate in Greater Manchester.  If you come here to willingly participate in disorder and crime, we will be at your door, ensuring you answer for your crimes."
