Staff at Denton-based Dogs Trust Manchester are on the lookout for loving homes for two devoted doggie duos.
Brother and sister Wyatt and Shona, who are seven, have lived together all their lives and arrived at the rehoming centre last month after their owner sadly passed away.
Just a few days later, Akita Cross Misty, who is ten, and eleven-year-old Labrador, Ben, also found themselves in need of a new home together.
Despite finding homes for two other paw-fect pairs in the last few weeks, so far Wyatt and Shona and Misty and Ben have proved unlucky in love.
Dawn Bishop, Manager at Dogs Trust Manchester, says: "We are surprised that they haven’t had much interest because they are adorable and will be a great addition to families looking for some furry fun in their lives!
“Misty and Ben are definitely young at heart and can’t live without each other. Ben is the least confident of the two, but Misty really helps him love life and when it comes to Wyatt and Shona, as long as they are together, they are happy.
“They can all live with children aged eleven and over, so we just hope it isn’t too long before they all find their ideal homes.”
Labrador Ben is happiest when he is by Misty's side, but can be distracted with a tasty treat! They are pictured with Canine Carer Nicole Brophy
Ben and Misty would like to live in a quiet, calm home so Ben can build his confidence, particularly around men. They would like to be walked in areas away from traffic and would love a garden to play and relax in.
Fun-loving Wyatt and Shona love their food and will quickly build a bond with their new family, particularly if there are a few tasty treats on offer. They love a run around and are used to spending a lot of time outdoors so they would also like a garden where they can spend as much time as they like.
Dawn said: "We really hope someone has double the love to give these fabulous four as they really deserve it.
“We are committed to finding them new homes where they can be together forever and we just hope it won’t be too long before dog-lovers realise that just as they are brilliant canine companions that can’t live without each other, they can’t live without two four-legged friends in their lives.”
