Elvis pays a visit to the Together Centre

Bob Morris, who spends half of his time as a lawyer and the other half as rock and roll icon, Elvis paid a visit to the Together Centre in Dukinfield where residents were able to enjoy the live entertainment and a two course meal.

Dukinfield councillors put on the lunch for local residents who are over 55. Cllr Jackie Lane said, “We’ve done this for years and it’s always a popular event, it’s so important for people to reconnect in the community, especially after covid but this event always does well.”

As well as dancing to the iconic music of Elvis, guests could partake in bingo, a raffle and a tombola.

During the upcoming winter months, the together centre are offering plenty more exciting events such as line dancing on a Tuesday night and Thursday afternoon, there’s a knit and natter group and the food pantry is open Friday 10-12 and Saturday 10-11.
