Today, Fairfield High School for Girls are celebrating some "super" GCSE and Vocational Course results.
Overall, a third of all grades achieved by Fairfield pupils were Grade 7+ (or equivalent) and more than 110 Grade 9s were achieved across the curriculum.
Twins Amelia and Jessica Bridge were both among the highest performing pupils of the cohort.
Jessica said: "I’m really proud of all the work I did, it was stressful, but I know it’s paid off. I can now do what I want to do."
Amelia said: "I got my best results in the subjects I want to go on to study. I’m so happy I’ve chosen these subjects as I know I will be good at them."
Headteacher Fee Lealman said: "They should all be incredibly proud. The class of 2024 leave Fairfield to join all the other successful ‘old girls’ in our ongoing strong record of excellent results.
"As a school we believe that all pupils regardless of starting point and circumstance, should be given the opportunity to learn in an inspiring and encouraging environment, where they are able to develop as young people and where they leave equipped with the grades enabling them to pursue their interests and follow their dreams.
"This was exemplified this morning as pupils received their results with smiling faces, many squeals of delight and tears of joy, excited at starting the next stage of their life. It was super to have parents and carers join the celebration in recognition of their role in the home – school partnership."
Retiring Headteacher, Stephanie Bateman, said: "As a retiring Headteacher I’m over the moon with the results, pupils thoroughly deserve them. It was a great atmosphere in the hall as we welcomed pupils, parents an carers to open their results. I wish Miss Lealman all the very best in her new role."
