A local business in Denton has ramped up its support for St Mary’s Church and Community Food Bank in Haughton Green in the run-up to Christmas with a festive food drop to support local families.
The donation, which included a host of seasonal treats as well as much-needed essential items, is the culmination of a three-month long charity initiative by RVA Surveyors.
The company set out to reach those most in need and help local people out of food poverty.
Anthony Hughes, managing director of RVA Surveyors, said: “As a Tameside employer, we are passionate about supporting the local community and helping to make a difference to the lives of those around us.
“The need for local support is always high in the run-up to Christmas, and this will be particularly the case this year with the pandemic still affecting our daily lives.
“We chose St Mary’s Church as our nominated charity in September this year and I’m very proud of the great work our team has done to support them.
“We created dedicated drop-off points for our staff and have made monthly donations, providing high demand items including long-life food, sanitary products and treats for families.”
Established in 2011, RVA Surveyors employs more than 80 people and works with a variety of businesses across the UK to help reduce their property’s business rates liability.
