Visitors to a shopping centre in Ashton will be getting into the Christmas spirit over the coming days.
Arcades Shopping Centre in Ashton are hosting an array of free Christmas activities over the festive period.
On Saturday (November 30), children are invited to attend the centre and transform themselves into one of Santa's Little Helpers.
Little shoppers will have the chance to become a Christmas elf by creating their very own elf hats, before visiting the centre's free elf face painting station! Once the transformation is complete, they will even receive an Arcades Certified Elf certificate to take home with them as a memento of the event.
The annual Christmas Light Switch On will also take place on Saturday in Ashton town centre. From 11am at Arcades, there will be a Frozen character trail that children can join to be in with the chance of winning cinema tickets and a range of Frozen prizes! Families can also meet an array of guest characters and receive a free gift on entry. The Light Switch On event itself takes place from 3pm to 6pm in the Market Hall.
Then on the following three Saturdays (December 7, 14 and 21), Santa will be arriving at the centre. From 10am until 4pm, children will be welcomed with open arms by the man himself, where they can share all of their Christmas wishes, snap a special selfie and receive a free chocolate treat to indulge in.
Lynne Picken, Arcade Shopping Centre's Centre Manager, commented: "The team here at Arcades are excited to host a variety of Christmas events this season. Across the town Centre, there is a brilliant range of activities for shoppers to get involved in and we hope everyone gets into the festive spirit and enjoys the free, family fun during the Christmas countdown."
