Friends of the Tame Valley, the community group caring for the valley and surrounding areas, are organising a special 'coronation clean-up' to help spruce up Jet Amber Fields. 

The clean-up will start at 10:30am on Monday 8 May. Organised by FoTV committee member Bryony Evens, it aims to get volunteers out and about to mark the historic coronation of King Charles III. 

It is the latest in a long line of events organised by the community group. FoTV regularly hold litter picking events, raise money for essential repairs, and even clear invasive plant species from the local area. 

Commenting, Bryony Evens said: "As the weather gets warmer and the Tame Valley is being visited by more and more people, we want to make sure it's looking its very best.

"Please join us for a Coronation Clean-up on Monday for a litter pick around Jet Amber Fields - and at the same time enjoy the many spring bulbs which have been planted.

"All equipment provided - please dress for Bank Holiday weather!" 

Andrew Gwynne, MP for Denton and Reddish and Secretary of FoTV, added: "I'm delighted that Friends of the Tame Valley are once again organising a fantastic clean-up event, and this time to mark a historic royal occasion.

"Do come along, the more the merrier!" 

Those wishing to get involved with the clean-up should meet at the St Anne's entrance to Jet Amber Fields (Satnav: M34 3DY) at 10:30am on Monday 8 May.
