Halls joins Curzon Ashton

Former Football League defender Andy Halls has joined Curzon Ashton ahead of the new season in the National League North.

The 27-year-old joins the club with a wealth of experience, having played in the Football League with Stockport County, before moving to Macclesfield Town, Chester and, most recently, Guiseley.

During his time at Edgeley Park, Halls became a regular started in the Football League under manager Jim Gannon. At the age of 16, he played for the Hatters in a League One fixture against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Halls initially started out as a defender but was moulded into a midfielder during his time at Guiseley. He becomes the latest players to have signed for Mark Bradshaw's side, following in the footsteps of Nicky Wroe, Matt Regan, Liam Davies, Callum Saunders, Kallum Mantack, Brad Lynch, Robbie Evans, Danny O'Brien, and Jack Banister.

Academy graduates Elliot Cooke and Adam Muir have also signed first team deals.
