If anyone in the Waterloo area of Ashton is struggling during the pandemic, the Friends of Waterloo can offer a helping hand.
The community group has teamed up with Farmfoods and I Care Meals on wheels to help those in need.
The group has preloaded Farmfoods gift cards to distribute to those struggling with food costs. Each card is preloaded with £20. They are also delivering Meals on Wheels leaflets with the Friends of Waterloo leaflets to the over-50s’ areas.
Meals on Wheels are offering an introductory complimentary meal and sweet to either an individual or group of people, to sample their service. If the recipient mentions the Friends of Waterloo when they contact them, they will be eligible for reductions in price or free deliveries. Ring the customer care team on 0845 6041125.
If anyone is in need of Farmfood vouchers, ring Lorraine Whitehead on 07773 627794, Dave Reed on 07928 491140 or Cllr Lee Alan Huntbach on 07706 748627.
