Jigsaw Homes Group gets new Chief

Brian Moran, new Chief Executive of Jigsaw Housing Groups

Local housing provider Jigsaw Homes Group, which has its head office in Ashton-Under-Lyne and manages more than 15,000 Tameside homes, has announced the appointment of Brian Moran as its new Chief Executive.

He will take the helm at Jigsaw on 16 December 2023.

Speaking about his appointment, Brian said:

“I am very excited to be presented with the opportunity to succeed Hilary and to build on her legacy. What we do at Jigsaw is important and matters to many people, including myself.

“I will approach the role of Chief Executive as I have every other job I have ever done, with enthusiasm, honesty, and integrity, and I will do my absolute best. I look forward to working with the Board, Jigsaw’s talented leadership team and colleagues throughout the business to continue to provide the best services we can for our current residents and to build much-needed affordable housing for our future residents.”

Brian has held the Deputy Chief Executive and Company Secretary position at Jigsaw for five years. He has 17 years of executive-level experience, having previously worked as Director of Corporate Services for the former Adactus Housing Group, which merged with New Charter Homes in 2018 to form Jigsaw.

Since the creation of Jigsaw, Brian has helped formulate and drive the delivery of Jigsaw’s Corporate Plan, leading to further growth, improvements to customer services, and simplifying governance structures. Earlier this year, Jigsaw retained its G1/V1 status – the highest rating for governance and financial viability – following an In-depth Assessment by the Regulator of Social Housing.

He was part of the executive management team, which, in 2022, led the organisation to secure a £360 million sustainability Bond to support its development programme, aiming to deliver 4,000 new homes by 2028.

He will replace the organisation’s current Chief Executive, Hilary Roberts, who will retire.

Chair of Jigsaw Homes Group Fay Selvan, said:

“The Board and everyone here at Jigsaw are delighted to have Brian as Chief Executive to lead our organisation - a role I know he will carry out with dedication and care.

“Brian’s wealth of knowledge of the Group and the sector, his passion for providing affordable homes and to create the highest standards in service delivery to our customers, will make sure we can deliver on our mission of creating homes and building lives.”
