Julia Bugno, aged 8 has been carefully crafting a series of books called “The Fairy Family” which are illustrated by her mother, Anna Bugno.
The books have been created in order to raise money for the children back in Ukraine who are affected by the current war. Julia came up with the idea of selling her books at her schools summer fair in Audenshaw and by doing this, she has raised £210 for Children from Slovyansk in Ukraine to support the Charitable Foundation from Ukraine called Slovyanka Mriia (Slavic Dream) which Sunflower Manchester is supporting.
Julia is a creative individual, she told us where the inspiration to write the books came from, “I know there's a war going on in Ukraine and I wanted to do whatever I can to help so I thought I would raise some money for the children over there” …
“I love to read and I wanted to write my own book because I've got so many ideas and stories in my head”
As well as selling out her first novel at her school summer’s fair in Audenshaw, Julia has begun to pen a plethora of other stories to finish the series of, “The Fairy Family”.
