LISTEN: Infinity Initiatives Chief Executive heartbroken after damage to headquarters

The chief executive of a highly popular advocacy and support service has been left heartbroken just days before Christmas.

Gemma Whittaker, who heads up Infinity Initiatives in Ashton, says she was devastated to learn of flooding to the headquarters, based on Wood Street, due to a burst water pipe.

Such is the damage to the facility, Infinity have been left with no choice but to cancel a Christmas dinner for up to 20 people in the local area.

Despite the tragic circumstances, Gemma has vowed to fight on and has been left encouraged by the response from the local community, who have rallied round and raised £3,870 on a Go Fund Me page.

We spoke to Gemma about the devastation, how Infinity plans on moving forward, and her involvement with Curzon Ashton Football Club - which recently saw her appointed as the Premier League Community Captain.
