M67 St Anne's Road bridge replacement project: Public information events

Residents are being invited to meet members of the team behind the St Anne's Road bridge replacement scheme in Denton.

The existing bridge, which carries St Anne’s Road over the M67 motorway, requires extensive structural repairs due to its age and its outdated style of construction.

National Highways say not taking action to repair the bridge risks the safety of road users in the future and replacing the bridge completely will be quicker, safer and more practical than repairing it.

But it will mean disruption for road users, with the project expected to take three years in total.

National Highways is working to finalise the programme for the main construction work and aim to start work on the bridge in early 2023.

Members of the public and the nearby communities can find out more about the multimillion pound bridge replacement scheme at two public information events.

These will be held at St Anne’s Church, Haughton, St Anne’s Road, Denton, M34 3EB on Friday 9 December 2022 from 3pm to 7pm and Saturday 10 December 2022 from 10am to 2pm.
