A man was arrested and suspected Class B drugs seized after police carried out an early morning raid at a house in Dukinfield.

Drug paraphernalia and cash were also recovered from the property on Wednesday (31 May) after officers acted on intelligence from the community.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

Police say neighbourhood officers take a zero-tolerance approach to those who cause disruption and problems for the law-abiding public.

PC Taylor, from Tameside’s Neighbourhood team, said: “We will always take action where we think it’s needed and we will always listen to those in the community who may have concerns about certain things going on in the area.

“I hope this warrant shows that we do take reports seriously and we will take a robust approach to reports of criminality in the community.

“We serve the Tameside area and I would urge anyone who has any problems to please get in touch with us. We are keen to tackle anything that may be a problem for you: anti-social behaviour, drug-dealing, vehicle crime, graffiti; if it’s a problem for you, it’s a problem for us, and we will do our best for you and the community.

"Intelligence and tip-offs can be passed to us via Crimestoppers - anonymously - on 0800 555 111."
