Man arrested after incident at Stalybridge reservoir

A young man has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure after an incident at a reservoir in Stalybridge. 

At 3.20pm on Friday afternoon (13 August), Greater Manchester Police's Tameside North and East Team received reports about an incident at Brushes Reservoir. 

They said a man was allegedly "causing alarm and distress" to members of the public by "exposing himself indecently". 

Police confirmed on Friday evening that a man in his 20s has been arrested and is awaiting questioning at Ashton police station. 

Anyone with further information regarding the incident is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 1918 of 13/08/2021.
