A man from Hyde has been charged with the murder of 43-year-old mother-of-two Tamara Padi in Stalybridge.
Aubrey Padi, 46, of Carrfield, has been charged with murder and was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Saturday (10 July).
Tamara was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Wednesday morning (7 July) at a house on Lake Road, in the Ridge Hill area of Stalybridge.
Police were called at around 3.40am after the ambulance service requested assistance.
They found that Tamara had been stabbed 'multiple times'. She was taken to hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
A cordon was in place throughout Wednesday, with a section of the road closed, while forensic officers spent time at the scene with a tent set up on the driveway of a property.
Tamara's two daughters Tia and Mia, as well as an unnamed friend, have paid touching tributes to her - describing her as "a happy and outgoing soul" who "had a way of lifting your spirit with her laughter and her presence".
