
A man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted and his motorbike was stolen on a road in Hyde.
Greater Manchester Police said they were called to Mottram Road at around 11.25am on Thursday afternoon (24 March) to a report of a disturbance.
A spokesperson for GMP said a motorcyclist was assaulted and his motorbike was taken.
He was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
Local residents on social media reported a large police presence in the area and the road was closed for around an hour.
