To support Save the Children, a Denton man is running the London and Manchester marathon.
Scott Greene plans to complete the London marathon on October 3 before racing in the Manchester event just 7 days later.
Though he’s an avid marathon runner, most recently completing the Tour of Tameside, the 52.4 miles over two back-to-back marathons are going to be a huge challenge.
Save the Children is the charity Scott’s fundraising for, he hopes to raise £1,850 to continue funding their work to improve children’s lives.
He added: “It’s a really worthy cause so I’d love people’s support to reach my target. I work at Kingsmill Bakery and there’s a team of us doing this as Kingsmill is teaming up with Save the Children to support their UK initiatives.”

Scott has also planned a 5km fun run from Frankie’s Sandwich Bar in Denton on August 20.
The race is open to anyone, regardless of their ability, and for a £4 donation participants can get a chip butty and a hot drink.
