Police have released details of two more cannabis farms which have been uncovered in Tameside.
After receiving a tip-off from the local community, officers carried out a raid of a house on St Albans Avenue in the Hurst area of Ashton recently.
Greater Manchester Police's Tameside South and West team say an investigation is ongoing but the cannabis farm has been dismantled and destroyed.
Elsewhere, another farm was discovered at a property in Hyde last Friday afternoon (18 March).
The exact location hasn't been revealed but police said there was "an overpowering smell" of cannabis on arrival.
Electric wiring could be seen running along the front of the address to the back garden and the meter had been tampered with and bypassed.
A total of 135 plants, in various stages of the growth cycle, were seized and sent for analysis to establish the street value.
A joint investigation between GMP and Jigsaw Homes housing association is under way.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Cannabis farms can often lead to bigger criminality, including human trafficking and modern day slavery. Help us to help them!"
These latest discoveries come after a huge cannabis farm containing more than 300 plants over four floors was uncovered by police at a disused building on Old Street in Ashton town centre last week.
Anyone who witnesses any suspicious behaviour is asked to get in touch with police, by calling 101 or reporting it online at https://www.gmp.police.uk/. Alternatively, you can get in touch with the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by ringing 0800 555 111.
