The heartbroken mum of a "loveable and kind" 15-year-old who tragically took his own life has pleaded with others who are struggling with their mental health to seek help.

Zack Ellis passed away on Tuesday evening, July 23, and leaves behind four "adoring" younger siblings, his "devoted" parents and many other family members and friends who "loved him dearly".

Speaking to Tameside Reporter, Kat said: "He was a brilliant role model for his younger siblings. He touched the lives of so many all over the world and everyone loved him so much.

"I'm so heartbroken. If anyone is suffering with their mental health, please get help."

The former Silver Springs Academy pupil, who grew up on the Ridge Hill estate in Stalybridge, was pursuing his passion for the digital world at UTC Media City, a creative college for 14-18-year-olds.

A GoFundMe page has been launched to help Zack's family give him the "send off he deserves".

The page reads: "As some of you may know, we lost our loveable, kind, helpful, amazing soul. Our Zack.

"We as a family are trying to come to terms with such a loss and have to deal with the daunting task of arranging a funeral, something no parent should ever have to deal with."
