Children's Services at Tameside Council have recruited two new Assistant Directors to help lead the service.
Paula Sumner and Tony DeCrop have joined Children's Services in their new roles to support ongoing improvement efforts.
Tony, having undertaken an interim role at the Council for six months, has now been permanently appointed while Paula joins as an experienced Assistant Director from Leicestershire County Council.
Ali Stathers-Tracey, Director of Children's Services at Tameside Council, said: "We had a really high quality field for both roles and I am delighted that Tony and Paula come with a strong reputation for building high quality, sustainable services. This is an exciting time for Tameside Children’s Services to cement a refreshed reputation for being innovative, creative and consistently high quality to deliver the very best outcomes for our children."
Councillor Bill Fairfoull, Executive Member for Children and Families at Tameside Council, said: “I am delighted to welcome Paula and Tony to the service to champion the delivery of improved outcomes for children in the borough."
