Nominations open for the 2021 CRISTAL Care Awards

The prestigious CRISTAL - Celebrate Remarkable and Inspirational Stars, Teams and Leaders - Care Awards 2021 are now open in Tameside and Glossop.

NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group, in partnership with Tameside Council and Derbyshire County Council, is urging eligible people to make a nomination by 4 June. 

It will recognise and celebrate the personal, innovative and dedicated work that benefits residents in care homes across Tameside and Glossop.

There are seven award categories:

• Celebrating Personalisation in Care
• Remarkable Quality
• Inspirational and Innovative Practice
• Shining Star
• Transformational Team
• Achievement in the workplace
• Leading the Way

Nominations can be made by completing a paper application form or via an online form to acknowledge an individual, team or organisation who is employed by an independent provider delivering care within a care home with or without nursing, a domiciliary care organisation and/or a supported living scheme situated within Tameside or Glossop.

Nominations received will be shortlisted and candidates notified by late summer and invited to attend the awards ceremony expected to be held on Friday 15 October 2021.

People who work within an independent Care Quality Commission registered care provider, health and social care professionals with links to care delivery and family or friends of a person receiving care can make a nomination. 

Local businesses are being offered the opportunity to advertise their business in the awards ceremony brochure for a small fee. The brochure will be handed out to all event attendees at the ceremony evening. 

Dr Asad Ali, Co-Chair at NHS Tameside and Glossop CCG, said: “These awards will acknowledge staff commitment and dedication, highlighting the safe, caring and welcoming environment they create for those who are at their most vulnerable.

“We hope to see more nominations this year made by families and friends of residents receiving care, to demonstrate the difference staff are making on a daily basis to enrich lives and improve the quality of care.”
