Friends of King George the fifth Playing Fields in Ashton have got the outdoor stage ready for a summer season of shows.
The stage was built by FoKGVPF volunteers and Community Payback, using reclaimed old bollards, cobbles and rubble one metre high which was then covered with grass.
The semi-circle of seats are old stone door steps and window sills, not as comfortable as a deck chair.
If you would like to know what shows are going on at FoKGVPF, these will be advertised on the calendar at www.fokgvpf.co.uk soon.
Anyone who has a charity theatre can book the stage to raise funds for their group and the Georgie Porgies cafe and toilets will be open, but the sunshine will have to be booked as it cannot be guaranteed by FoKGVPF.
For more information about the FoKGVPF stage, email alan.fish.161te@fokgvpf.co.uk or call 07931765120.
