Passengers warned of Tameside bus service changes

Passengers of bus services in Tameside are being advised to check their journey times, amid some minor timetable changes which take effect from Sunday (25 October).  

This is a summary of the changes affecting services in the borough: 

Service 7/7A: Stockport - Ashton
The Saturday afternoon journey at 18:31 from Stockport will be revised to run as service 7A by Stagecoach.

Service 41A: Ashton - Dukinfield circular
This service will be withdrawn and replaced by the rerouted 335 bus along Thorncliffe Avenue, Dewsnap Lane, Armadale Road, Boyds Walk and Birch Lane, and the rerouted bus 389 on Tennyson Avenue.

Service 335: Ashton - Dukinfield - Denton circular 
The service ran by Stotts will be rerouted to run Astley Street, Crescent Road, Foundry Street, Birch Lane, Boyds Walk, Armadale Road, Dewsnap Lane, Thorncliffe Avenue, King Street and Globe Lane partly replacing bus 41A. Buses are also rerouted in Denton running the opposite way around the current loop, also serving Pendle Road and Victoria Street, Ruby Street, Rose Hill, Windmill Lane and Dane Bank.

Service 339: Ashton - Crowhill circular 
Some journey times are changing for the Stotts service. 

Service 389: Ashton - Dukinfield 
The bus route will be revised by Stagecoach to run along Tennyson Avenue.

Service 396: Ashton - Waterloo - Fitton Hill - Hollinwood - Newton Heath
Monday to Saturday daytime journeys on the Stotts service are being rerouted to serve Chadderton and Middleton instead of Failsworth and Newton Heath. Buses will run via the current route to Hollins then via Coppice, Chadderton, Fitton Park, Firwood Park and Mills Hill to Middleton replacing bus 419. 

Service 419: Ashton - Coppice - Chadderton - Fitton Park - Middleton
The route, run by Stotts, is being withdrawn and replaced by rerouted bus 396 running between Middleton, Mills Hill, Chadderton, Coppice, Fitton Hill and Ashton.
