A police officer suffered only minor injuries after being involved in a collision with a motorway barrier.
The officer was responding to an incident when the crash happened on Wednesday afternoon (10 March).
It happened on the M67 westbound between Junction 2 and Junction 1A in the Denton area, heading towards Manchester.
Images posted on social media showed the vehicle had suffered damage to its front and ended up facing the wrong way down the motorway.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Traffic team and the North West Motorway Police responded.
One lane and a nearby slip road was closed for around 90 minutes, before reopening at approximately 5.20pm.
Queues of traffic had built up as a result.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to the Ashton Road bridge of the M67 just after 3:30pm, following reports of a collision involving a police car hitting a motorway barrier.
"The officer - who was responding to an incident - wasn't seriously injured and no other vehicles were involved."
