Denton South councillors are embracing The Great British Spring Clean by organising a series of community litter picks.
The first is taking place on Saturday 12 June, at 11am on Cemetery Road in Denton.
Residents are invited to join Team Denton South (Cllrs Claire Reid, Jack Naylor and George Newton) for the litter pick.
The councillors will supply all the necessary equipment, ensure the waste is tidied away and even supply refreshments.
Speaking on behalf of Team Denton South, Cllr Claire Reid said: "Residents across Haughton Green and south Denton are proud to live in a place that's green, clean and tidy, and we hope these spring cleans will help keep our community that way.
"I'll be baking a few special treats for local residents that are able to join us next week - so if that's not an incentive to join us, I don't know what is!"
Anyone wishing to take part should meet at the field next to Denton Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Denton, at 11am on Saturday 12 June.
