A caring schoolgirl has received a special card from the Queen thanking her for her kind words on the monarch's Platinum Jubilee.
The card was delivered to 12-year-old Christina Berry and postmarked last Thursday, the day Queen Elizabeth II died.
Christina is the church rose queen for St George’s Church in Mossley.
In June, after her blessing as rose queen, Christina, who is a pupil at the Blue Coat School in Oldham, wrote to Her Majesty, congratulating her on her Platinum Jubilee, explaining what an honour it was to be chosen as church queen in such a special year.
On Saturday, the letter from the Palace arrived, post marked Thursday. It will have been one of the last things sent from the Queen’s office.

Christina’s mum, Wendy, said it was Christina’s grandfather’s idea to write to the Queen. He was in the Stamford Unit in Ashton after suffering from a stroke.
Sadly, Wendy’s dad, Keith Schofield, recently passed away, aged 79. His funeral is next Tuesday.
Wendy said: “It was my dad’s idea to write when he was in the Stamford Unit. It was such a shock to receive a reply. I just wish my dad was here to see. He would be so proud. It is such a precious keepsake.”
