Police are investigating after a shopkeeper was racially abused in Mossley.
He was subjected to a tirade of abuse after confronting the would-be thief when he walked out with a bottle of wine.
Footage shared on social media shows a man kicking at the door of SM News on Stamford Street while screaming at those inside.
The incident happened last Sunday night (October 20).
It is understood he went into the store between 5pm and 6pm and grabbed a bottle of wine from a shelf.
The man went to leave, but was followed by the shopkeeper, who stopped him and snatched the wine back.
The thug then began shouting racist abuse while kicking the front door.
It is understood the shopkeeper then went outside to confront the man, who eventually walked away.
PC Martin Dench, NBO for Mossley, confirmed the shopkeeper was not physically hurt during the incident and CCTV enquiries are under way.
PC Dench is now urging anyone who saw what happened, or who has any information, to come forward and contact him on 15875@gmp.police.uk, or call GMP on 101.
