The countdown is on for this year's Gee Cross Fete, organised by Hyde Rotary.
The event is one of the biggest in Tameside's events calendar, attracting thousands of people each year and raising many thousands of pounds for good causes, as well as providing lots of entertainment for all of the family.
Sunday 2 July is the date for your diary when the Gee Cross Fete will once again grace the Sam Redfern Green.
From a vast assortment of stalls and entertainment, refreshments and the traditional dog show, there promises to be something for everyone.
The event has been running for more than 20 years with the main organisers being the Rotary Club of Hyde who have raised huge sums for a vast array of charities.
One of the groups that will benefit from this year’s fete will be Blood Bikes Manchester, whose members will also be there on the day.
The group provides emergency back-up to the NHS by transporting organs, blood and even breast milk to those who urgently need them.
The fete will also see the return of regular favourites the circus performers who will be teaching juggling and other circus skills. A DJ will provide the party atmosphere with music and much, much more.
Food and refreshments will be provided aplenty with numerous stalls and there will be a beer tent.
Plus there will be plenty of fun for the children with rides and face painting.
Raffle tickets with some great prizes up for grabs will be available at the entrance.
There’s still time to book a stall for the day, and you can get in touch through the fête Facebook page.
