A university student is putting together a documentary on Mossley and is appealing for stories on the history of the town.
Mason McGlynn, who is studying film production at Uclan in Preston, is arranging the short documentary for one of his modules.
Mason, who went to Milton St John CE Primary in Mossley, said: “I am looking at the town of Mossley and how it has changed, or in some ways hasn’t changed, in the various decades the town has been through.
“If enough interest and stories are brought to me I may also turn this into a series of documentaries as I believe there are many stories to tell regarding Mossley’s history, in both
its progression as a town and its people who reside there.”
Mason said the documentary will be aired sometime in May and if it gauges enough interest he hopes to put it into film and documentary competitions across the North West.
